What is a Board Room?

The boardroom is reserved for meetings at the highest level of a company. It can accommodate up to 48 people (24 can be seated at the table and 24 can be situated around the walls). This room is a reflection of K-State Olathe’s commitment to meeting industry needs in executive meeting space, research and training. It is a more formal space with an elegant decor and has basic audiovisual equipment.

The term “board” is associated with images of rich men sitting in dark wood-paneled rooms with high ceilings. They are deliberating corporate policy and pricing for monopolizing a market or an opportunity. The boardroom is now a hub for innovation which allows more collaboration and participation from all over the world in making critical decisions that impact an entire business.

The layout of the room must be flexible, allowing it to adapt to its intended use. The room should also be outfitted with the modern technology to ensure that meetings are as productive as is possible. In addition, the ambience of the room must be welcoming and comfortable, which will encourage interaction and encourage the exchange of ideas.

A boardroom needs to have a screen large enough to accommodate all attendees. It should also have a projector to display whiteboards and presentations to facilitate discussions. Modern boardrooms may also have videoconferencing software that allows remote attendees to connect and allows for greater diversity in the boardroom. Infassure provides modern boardrooms to ensure your next meeting is successful.
